As most people know, producing a film, especially if you require a specific degree of professionalism of the finished piece requires money.

Actors and crew needs to be paid first and foremost, then there is all the other costs associated with film productions. Scouting, equipment rentals, staging, food (yes we do need to feed the actors and crew), marketing, and other unforeseen costs associated with production requires a budget.
